In the stillness of a midsummer afternoon, hurried clicking filled polished halls of POG HQ. Penelope Livey wasn't one to be late . In fact, her punctuality was a point of pride in many cases, as she was always known within her friend groups as being only person ever on time, every single time, without a single mistake.

Manicured fingers incessantly type upon a mechanical keyboard, clickety-clack, only coming to stop when PENELOPE LIVY approaches the front desk. The receptionist looks up at her from where she’s sitting, and after glancing at the screen of her computer, the smile she offers HBS’ lead report is one bright and cordial.

”Welcome to Piazza Oro Grande Bank’s corporate headquarters, Miss Livy. Please take the lift to the last floor, Mr del Mar has been waiting for you.”

The greeting is spoken with careful diction and practised perfection, gesturing towards the closest elevator. It has its own attendant, of course, and with the gentle sound of piped music, it will take Penelope up to one of the highest floors of the tower.

There, she will step upon polished marble, and when approaching the open door that is the entrance to Martín del Mar office, she will be greeted by the two assistants whose desks flank said entrance. One of them will go in before her, announcing her arrival.

POG Bank’s CEO awaits seated by his desk, and behind him, floor-to-ceiling windows grant a spectacular view of Slateport Bay. He stands when he sees her, offering a handshake while upon his lips there’s a smile that comes with natural ease:

With a curt nod, the woman was off, stampeding up to the elevator with the swiftness befitting a lead reporter. It took no more than 3 minutes for her to reach the office, and even less for those doors to be pried open.

Practiced smile gracing her features, the woman of amber strode in, taking her place at the head of the desk, where a seat laid set for visitors. Reaching over, she returned a firm handshake. "Thank you for seeing me," She started off with, hands folding into themselves onto her lap. "To my understanding, Piazza Oro Grande Bank is known for its philanthropy."

Today, however, Mars had allowed for no interview, and truth be told, that may just be why he had agreed to this meeting to begin with: curiosity as to PENELOPE LIVY’s intentions.

”That’s kind of you, Miss Livy, and I’m glad to hear our bank has such a reputation.” He smiles, since after all, reputation has always been part of the reason for the existence of such charitable organisations. Still, the will to help is true and honest: Mars wants to make Hoenn better. It’s part of the reason for his more secret affiliations.

The all-too-knowing reporter's lips quirk up into a mirroring smirk. Martín del Mar had been right, Penelope had already acquainted herself with the inner workings of the Bank's connections to charitable organizations, and just about everything else that went into this outpour of support. It was one of the first things she had her people (nagi miwa ) dig into upon returning to the office after finishing up her latest issue.

Her fingers rap against the head of her armrests, contemplative, like a fox prowling between the shrubbery. With these conversations, you only have one shot, so you have to make it count.

"Yes, actually. HBS is looking to start a new endeavor after our most recent issue; a charity event dedicated to providing support for families separated after Rocket's invasion of Kanto. " She pulled back a strain of hair behind her ear. "We're currently looking into hosting a 'fun run' early next year and need sponsors to help support the event."
